About Me
Hi! I'm Chris Allen, a singer and vocal coach based in the West Midlands, UK. Music and singing have been essential parts of my life for as long as I can remember, and the buzz I get from sharing my passion with other people, be it through singing live at functions and events or through coaching people to find their voice and develop their passion, never diminishes, but only gets stronger with time. Since graduating from university in 2015, I have performed regularly across the region, in musical theatre productions both amateur and professional, as a guitarist and singer in an acoustic pop covers band, or as one third of the 'Brownhills Rat Pack', celebrating the music of the swing heroes.
I first sang in front of an audience when I was 11 years old, and instantly fell in love with the feeling. I went on to have singing lessons through school and university, receiving tuition in mainly theatre and classical styles and performing in numerous musical theatre productions. Despite my mainly theatrical background, I am proficient and experienced across a wide range of genres, and have more recently been singing diverses styles, from swing and jazz classics to choral arrangements by John Rutter, via pop classics.

I offer vocal tuition to people of any ability, age, singing style or background. Through specific, tailored vocal exercises and careful analysis of a chosen song, students will learn more about their voice, feel more confident expressing themselves and grow their fundamental singing technique. I pride myself on making my lessons as friendly and laidback as possible, to really help bring out a student's confidence and love for singing.
